Cam and groove, camlock for short is a connecting system consisting of male socket with a circumferential groove where a couple of eccentrical levers in the female socket align both sockets creating a tight seal. As far as materials is concerned, there are available, Aluminium, Stainless steel, Brass and Polypropylene for different applications.

Most common applications are with water, acids, crude oil, and other petrochemical fluids although are not to be used with compressed fluids as steam, gas or air, and cover a wide range of sizes starting at 1/2” up to 6“ as Standard and as far as threads use BSPP.
